Mutabbaq is a popular dish that is distinguished by its dough and filling. Mutabbaq is part of the Yemeni and Saudi heritage, and is taken from the Malaysian heritage. It consists of dough that is applied on top of each other in the form of folds, then rolled out and spread using a fatty substance such as ghee or butter. Mutabbak can be filled with minced meat, eggs and leeks.
the components:
For the dough:
2 cups of all-purpose flour.
Small spoon of salt.
Two tablespoons of oil.
1 and a quarter cup of water (or as needed for the dough).
For the filling:
Leeks (green onions).

A tomato.
2 eggs.
Salt and black pepper.
How to prepare:
Preparing the dough:
Divide the dough into 3 equal balls.
Shape each dough ball into a thin rectangle.
Add the filling to the dough, then fold it from the sides.
Fold the dough over at the bottom, making sure to seal all sides.
Repeat the same steps with the remaining two balls.
Frying or baking:
Fry mutabbaq in oil or bake it in the oven according to your preference.
Eat it hot and enjoy the delicious taste!
Note: You can change the mutabbaq filling according to your taste. Try different ingredients like cheese or your favorite vegetables. Of course, you can also try Mutabbak with banana and cream or cheese and sugar for a different experience.
