Kibbeh |
Kibbeh is an oriental Arab dish popular in Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine and Iraq. It varies slightly from one country to another in shape, taste, preparation methods, and preparation1. There are multiple ways to prepare kibbeh, and one of the most popular types is fried kibbeh.
the components:
1 cup of fine bulgur
500 grams of minced lamb or veal
1 medium sized onion, finely chopped
2 tablespoons of chopped parsley
1 teaspoon of spices (such as seven spices or kibbeh spices)
Salt and pepper to taste
frying oil
How to prepare:
Preparing the kibbeh dough:
We wash the bulgur well and soak it in cold water for half an hour.
Grind the bulgur and minced meat with onions and parsley in a food processor until we obtain a smooth mixture.
Knead the mixture well by hand until we have a soft dough that is easy to shape.
Preparing the kibbeh filling:
Stir the minced meat with onions, parsley and spices until the meat is cooked.
We form small balls from the dough and fill them with the previously prepared filling.
Fry the kibbeh in plenty of oil until it browns and takes on a golden colour.
Serving the kibbeh:
We serve hot fried kibbeh with yogurt and Arabic bread.
