Luqaimat

Loqaimat, also known as Lokmat Al Qadhi or Awamah, is a type of popular oriental sweet. It is made from fermented dough balls that are fried, then soaked in syrup or honey and sometimes topped with cinnamon or other ingredients1. This dessert is very delicious and loved by people, and is prepared in the holy month of Ramadan and in the winter in particular.

the components:
A cup of flour.
Two tablespoons of powdered milk.
A teaspoon of yeast.
A tablespoon of starch.
A pinch of salt.
A tablespoon of sugar.
A cup of warm water.
frying oil.
Sesame for garnish.
Qatar for irrigation.

How to prepare:
Bring a large bowl and put all the previous ingredients in it.
Mix the ingredients well until you have a soft dough that resembles cake batter.
Cover the dough with a plastic bag, then a clean cloth, and leave it to ferment for an hour and a half until it doubles in size.
Heat the oil over high heat, and shape the dough into small balls.
Leave the luqaimat without stirring until it floats on top, then stir it until it takes on a golden color.
Place the luqaimat in the very cold syrup, then drain it, place it in a serving dish, and sprinkle a little white sesame on it.
