Ghariba is one of the most famous traditional desserts in the Arab world, and is characterized by its soft texture that melts in the mouth. Exotic is usually made from simple ingredients including flour, sugar, butter or ghee. Form the dough into small balls or different geometric shapes, and bake until golden.

The exotic is a symbol of hospitality and generosity, and is often served on special occasions and holidays3. There are many types of exotic, such as shortbread with pistachios, shortbread with mastic, and shortbread with chocolate, and each type has its own distinctive flavor and way of preparation.

Ingredients:
2 cups flour
1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup roasted and ground almonds
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
A pinch of salt
Melted dark chocolate for decoration

Instructions:
Prepare the Dough:
In a large bowl, beat the butter with the powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the vanilla extract and beat again.
In another bowl, mix the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter and sugar mixture, mixing until a smooth dough forms.
Add the roasted and ground almonds and mix well.
Shape the Ghraybeh:
Take small amounts of dough and shape them into small balls.
Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each ball.
Bake:
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Bake the ghraybeh for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are slightly golden.
Let the ghraybeh cool completely on a wire rack.
Decorate:
Once the ghraybeh has cooled, dip half of each piece into the melted dark chocolate.
Place the ghraybeh on parchment paper until the chocolate sets.
Tips:
You can add orange zest to the dough for a unique flavor.
Try using different types of nuts like pistachios or hazelnuts instead of almonds
